Is Your Heart Christ's Home?

If you've never read this analogy of making Christ as home in your heart, you are in for a treat! Enjoy! #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

In the booklet “My Heart Christ’s Home" the human heart is compared to a house renovated by Christ’s presence (Revelation 3:20; John 14:23).

The Library (the mind): where Christ offers wholesome influences to replace unwholesome ones (1 Corinthians 2:14-16).

The Dining Room (appetites and desires): where Christ changes our spiritual appetite (Ephesians 4:22-23).

The Workshop (talents and skills): where Christ uses our gifts for His purposes (Ephesians 2:10).

But one room description in this little booklet is especially meaningful. It's the Drawing Room where Christ meets with the new Christian daily (Psalm 1:1-3).

Unfortunately, the new Christian eventually becomes “too busy” to meet regularly. One morning as he hurries out the door, he sees Christ sitting alone.

“Have you been here all these mornings?”

“Yes” Christ says, “I told you I would be…. You have been thinking of the quiet time, of the Bible study and prayer time, as a factor in your own spiritual progress, but you have forgotten that this hour means something to me also. Remember, I love you…I desire your fellowship.”  (See John 15:15)

Let’s ponder that today!
